Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all content generated, provided, or displayed through NameRight ("Service"), including content produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence ("AI-generated content"), such as personalized guidance, document preparation output, summaries, extracted text, and any audio or voice output. This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

You may not use the Service, or any AI-assisted feature, to generate, request, produce, or distribute any of the prohibited content categories below.

The following six categories of content are strictly prohibited on NameRight:

• Sexual / NSFW content: Pornography, explicit sexual material, or content intended to sexually arouse, in any medium including text, images, or audio.
• Violence / gore: Graphic depictions of violence, gore, torture, or encouragement of harm to persons or animals.
• Hate speech: Content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred or discrimination against individuals or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or national origin.
• Child safety (CSAM): Any content involving children that is sexually suggestive, exploitative, or abusive, or that seeks to produce such material.
• Deepfakes / impersonation: Realistic synthetic media that misrepresents a real person's identity, voice, or actions without their consent, or content created to deceive, defraud, or impersonate others.
• Copyright / trademark infringement: Content that reproduces, distributes, or imitates protected works, brands, or trademarks without authorization.

This list is not exhaustive. Content that facilitates illegal activity, fraud, harassment, stalking, or misuse of court or government forms is also prohibited.

NameRight's AI-assisted features are powered by the following underlying models, disclosed here for transparency:

• Text-based assistant and guidance generation: OpenAI GPT-4o-mini (via the OpenAI API). Where no OpenAI API key is configured, a locally hosted Meta Llama 3.1 8B Instruct model may be used as a fallback.
• Document and form text extraction (OCR): OpenAI GPT-4o / GPT-4o-mini vision models.
• Audio / text-to-speech: NameRight does not currently offer a text-to-speech feature. If audio output is introduced in the future, the underlying voice synthesis model will be disclosed on this page before launch.

AI-generated content is produced to assist with informational guidance only and is not legal advice. Outputs may be imperfect; always verify requirements with the relevant court or agency before filing.

We take violations of this policy seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, we may take any of the following actions:

• Removal or blocking of the prohibited content
• Issuance of a written warning
• Temporary suspension of account access
• Permanent termination of the account
• Reporting of unlawful activity (e.g., CSAM) to the relevant authorities

Refunds are not available for accounts terminated for violation of this policy, except as otherwise required by law or provided in our Refund Policy.

If you encounter content that violates this policy, or believe your copyright or trademark has been infringed through the Service, please report it to us at support@nameright.app or through our contact page.

Please include in your report:

• A description of the content and where it appears
• The date and time you encountered it
• Your contact information
• For copyright or trademark claims, evidence of your ownership or authorization

Reports are reviewed by our team, typically within 2 business days. We do not require your name to be shared with the reported user; reporting is confidential.

NameRight uses a combination of automated and human review to keep the Service safe:

• Automated filters: Prompt and output screening applied to AI-assisted features to block prohibited categories (sexual content, violence, hate speech, CSAM indicators, impersonation, and protected-material requests) before content is returned.
• Human review: Staff review of user reports, flagged outputs, and audit logs for moderation decisions.
• Provider-level moderation: The underlying AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) apply their own abuse and safety monitoring to API usage; abuse that reaches provider abuse teams may result in account-level action.

We review moderation processes periodically and update this policy as features evolve. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
